| Whonnock
Lake Centre, operated by the Whonnock Community Association, is
located at 27871 113th Avenue.
|
| Throughout
the year the facility is the hub of the community’s activities.
It provides a home to various groups such as Scouts, Guides, Youth
Group etc. A number of programs are offered here. Lakeside preschool
also runs from our centre to provide quality learning for 3-5 year
olds. Well known are the Easter Egg Hunt and Whonnock Lake Day in
the fall, attracting hundreds of people from everywhere on the Lower
Mainland. |
| The
hall is also available for receptions, dances, memorials, meetings,
and seminars and is particularly sought after for weddings for which
reservations are usually made a long time prior to the event. |
| Driving
information |
| Whonnock
Lake Centre is just behind the gates to Whonnock Lake Park. To reach
the Centre from Vancouver take Highway 7 East (Lougheed Highway)
past Maple Ridge. Continue on Highway 7 with the river on the right. |
| Just
where the road narrows from four to two lanes turn left (north)
on 272nd Street. Follow the road up the hill and through the community
and turn right on 112th Avenue. Pass the school and the fire hall
and turn left on 276th Street. |
| Follow the
road and turn right on 113th Avenue. Follow the road to the Centre.
The first parking lot is directly across from the Centre. |

If this area is full, there are more parking spaces to the east
in the park. Please do not park on the roadways. The park gates
are locked at 2 a.m. during wedding events.There is no over night
camping. Vehicles may stay overnight if taxis are needed. The park
gates are opened at 8am. Welcome to Whonnock Lake Centre.
