From 4 to 7 April 1916 the 131st Battalion marched from New Westminster to Port Coquitlam, through Maple Ridge and Mission to Abbotsford and back to New Westminster via Aldergrove, Langley Prairie and Cloverdale. This was public relations and recruiting exercise. This picture was taken on 5 April, when the marchers made a short stop for lunch at the Whonnock School school.
